How the Opportunity Score Actually Works

CreatorGap AI Team · Jun 10, 2026 · 5 min read

The Opportunity Score is designed to answer one question fast: if I made this video or post right now, how likely is it to outperform what's already out there?

It blends three signals — estimated demand (search and view volume around the topic), competition (how saturated and how strong the existing coverage is), and growth trajectory (whether interest in the topic is accelerating or fading).

A score above 80 usually means high demand with relatively thin or weak competition — the sweet spot. A score in the 40s or below usually means the topic is either low-demand or heavily saturated by strong creators.

Scores update as new data comes in, so a topic that looks average today can become a strong opportunity next week as trends shift.
